About QCMC 2016

The International Conference on Quantum Communication, Measurement and Computing (QCMC) was established in 1990 to encourage and bring together scientists and engineers working in the interdisciplinary field of quantum information science and technology. To date, twelve such meetings have been held and the thirteenth will take place 4-8 July, 2016 in Singapore.

It will be organised by the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore

Scope of the conference

* Cryptography and Communications
* Measurement and Metrology
* Quantum Computing and Information Theory
* Implementations
* Quantum Simulations
* Quantum Control
* Foundations of Quantum Physics

* QCMC 2018
The 14th International Conference on Quantum Communication, Measurement and Computing, QCMC 2018, will be held at Lousiana State University. The Principal Organiser is Jonathan P. Dowling. Mark your calendars with the dates: 12-16 March, 2018.

* Quantum Communication Award 2016
The International Quantum Communication Award for outstanding achievements in quantum communication research is presented at each QCMC. This year, the Award Committee announces the awards go to:

Rainer Blatt (Universit├Ąt Innsbruck, Austria)
"For his pioneering experiments on quantum information processing with trapped ions and photons"

Artur Ekert (Centre for Quantum Technologies, NUS, Singapore & University of Oxford, UK)
"For his pioneering work on quantum cryptography and outstanding contributions to quantum information science"

The certificates will be presented during the conference dinner and the QCMC Award Session will take place on Friday.
